This is a PHOTOCOPY of a Vintage pattern to make Two Boudoir Stuffed Dolls - their Bodies and their Clothes. The body of Doll A is made out of muslin and is dressed in a pajama suit of jade green satin trimmed with bands of blue transparent velvet. There is an applique leaf pattern running down the left side of the doll's pajama top from the shoulder to the waist. Doll A also includes patterns for the scarf and shoes, which are to be made from black satin. The body of Doll B is also made out of muslin and she is outfitted in a dress to be made from white satin with velvet trim and a large neck ruffle. The design on the skirt is embroidered. Doll B also includes patterns for her bloomers, tam (hat) and shoes. These dolls are 33 inches tall when complete. The photo of the dolls from this vintage pattern has been enhanced and colored by computer graphics.

This is a PHOTOCOPY of a 1937 Vintage pattern to make French Doll costumes for your 30 inch tall Boudoir Doll. Views A & B make dresses that call for fancier materials like in taffeta organdy or dotted swiss. Their dresses have puffed sleeves, a neckline ruffle, a two tiered flounced skirt and are finished with a sash at the waistline. Views A & B have different hats. View C is for an Early American look. Her dress has gathered full length sleeves that taper to a slim wrist. I think they are referred to as leg 'o mutton sleeves. Her top is trimmed with buttons, but actually closes with snaps. The dress has a Peter Pan collar and has added rick rack trim near the bottom of her dress. She also wears a head kerchief. This is a large pattern consisting of 32 pages of size 11x17 paper.

Firstly, you make their bodies from flesh colored sateen, then embroider their faces and make their hair of wool -- one white, one henna. Next comes the dressmaking which is delightful to do.
