Folk Art Angel Tree Top Angel
Make your own angel for the top of your tree. You can also display her by sliding the cone over a short candle taper for a table decoration or shorten her skirt to display her sitting on the cone.
She's about 12" tall and is put together over an empty thread cone. The cone is covered with fabric so she looks pretty top and bottom. An old hankie is used for her apron. Her face is painted, the hair is sheep wool, and she is tea-stained. Rusty wire is used to make the halo, wings, and banner.
Included are directions on how to rust metal and how to tea-stain.

Lovelorn Lena and her Frog Prince Cloth Doll Pattern
Lena is 20" tall without her hat and 23" wearing it. The frog prince is 3" tall in his crown. She can sit or be hung on a wall or door.
Lena looks wistful because she wonders if she turned Prince Fergus into a frog before the love potion had time to work. Now he's an angry frog who just might become besotted with her if that potion kicks in. Ah, what to do?
The pattern comes with 1 printed face on muslin, a cover with a color photograph, 6 pages of patterns, and 12
pages of directions- printed on both sides. The larger pieces of clothing do not have patterns, just the rectangular dimensions listed in the pattern section.

Will You Be My Sweetheart - 9 inch Felt Cat Pattern
Isn't Jerry sweet offering Jenny a bouquet of 3 mice tied together with ribbon? They are so cute sitting on a shelf, in a basket, or tucked in a wreath on a door. The clothing is removable so you can make different outfits for different times of the year.
To make the 9" cats use fuzzy Kunin felt for the bodies. You can use plain felt but the fuzzy ones look nicer. Kunin also makes a loopy felt that looks great. This pattern was designed for felt not cotton fabric or fake fur. To use something besides the felt will cause the shape to be different than the picture shows.
Their arms and legs are sewn to the body with buttons for the joints so they are moveable. The buttons I used are covered with the same fabric used to make their clothing. Small black buttons are used for the eyes and the noses and mouths are embroidered. The head is sewn to the body and is not moveable but you can sew it so they are looking slightly to the side.
Jerry is dressed in a vest and bow tie. He carries 3 felt mice for his sweetheart, Jenny. She is wearing a sleeveless dress that snaps at the front with a bow in front of one ear. She'd look just as cute with a bow at the front of the other ear. You can tea stain the clothing for a more primitive look.

Sunnie Skyes and Junie Moon, a Folk Art Topsy-Turvy Doll
In case you are not familiar with topsy-Turvy dolls, there are no legs and you can flip the skirt to display either side. The doll can be displayed hanging or leaning.
Like the dolls but don't want a topsy-turvy? Just make one side and attach to a wood dowel on a base. Directions on how to do this are not included but if you need help just email me.
The doll body is tea-stained and there are how-tos in the directions. Both sides have painted faces and hands with stitched fingers. The faces are different for each doll.
Feeling happy? Display Sunnie with her straw hat and fabric sunflowers. Sunnie's hair is wool and is glued to her head. There are directions for making the sunflowers so you can even make yourself a pin to wear!
Feeling tired or having a bad day? Display Junie with her sleepy eyes. The moon on her dress is appliqued but can also be machine sewn. She wears a rusty wire halo wrapped with eyelash yarn. Her hair is yarn fringe you can purchase or make using the directions I've included.
