Miz Winifred Goodkind And you thought you were having a bad hair day! Poor Winnie, nothing ever seems to go right for her, especially her hair! She was getting ready for the annual "Bewitching Toe Tapping" dance at her local coven when her new hair spell went terribly askew! Oh well guess it will just have to do. Kitty O'Leary, Prim Cat E-Pattern Kitty is 18" tall and she and the kids are made from painted and distressed muslin. They all have stitched noses and mouth. Kitty has two ivory colored buttons for eyes and the kids have small rusty tacks for eyes. Kitty’s whiskers are made from rusty wire and the kids have thread whiskers. Special Delivery Love is in the air and the valentines are being mailed. Gee I wonder who got what and from whom? It seems that Chutney the mouse is anxious to show his off to all his friends. Special Delivery is a quaint Valentine make-do that would charm any household and bring out the warmth of the season. The make-do measures 14" tall. The distressed and dyed red/tan ticking heart is mounted onto a rusty old bedspring. There are three choices of cute sayings stitched on the front of the heart…BE MINE…MY VALENTINE AND HUGS and KISSES. Each one has a red wool thread stitched heart and two cotton batting hearts on the front. Little Chutney the mouse is approximately 6" tall and made out of dyed and distressed muslin. BuBBa the Bat Here's a real character for Halloween - "BuBBa the Bat" Make Do. BuBBa is a big ol' bat and he loves Halloween. He comes wearing his own witch's hat and sportin' fangs. Americana in Wool The sheep measure 13" long and 6" tall. There is nothing like a couple of sheep that have the spirit of Americana to give that "primitive" touch to your home. These two would look wonderful on a sideboard or table or old country worn cupboard. These two are made from muslin that has been needle felted with wool. Their faces, ears and tail are painted and distressed to looked aged. The white sheep (Uncle Sam) has a small white beard under his chin and a tall stovepipe hat on his head. Tucker'd Out Ever have one of those days? Well Tucker has. He is the cutest lil' crow that just got too busy at Halloween. The two pieces are attached & the overall height is 12". Moon Dust Ever wonder who harvests the “moon dust” from the moon? Well it is the witches in training Zephyr and Dot! It seems that poor Dot gets stuck doing most of the swishing and swashing of the moon dust while ol’ Zephyr gets her zzzzz’s. Moon Dust measures 10” tall and is mounted atop a vintage glass candlestick. The moon is painted, waxed and shaded muslin. Each one of the little mice is painted muslin with waxed tails and noses. Their hats are stiffened flannel and their wands are painted stars on rusty wire. The little moon dust bag is dyed wool felt with mica flakes glued to the top and the bag is weighted with sand. Trina Treetop Trina Treetop is approximately 16" tall. She has a painted and distressed muslin body and is mounted on a rusty bed spring (she can also be made on a regular pedestal). Toady The Punkin' Head Here's a great pumpkin head make-do for Halloween or anytime. Toady's face has a lot of character and the spider, Spits, likes just hanging around his hat. Flyer 4 Hire! These little guys are on a mission, "Hire Two More" before Christmas! It takes eight to pull the Ol' Man's sleigh! The reindeer measure 10" tall without the twig antlers. Joy,the Caroling Crow Joy is a little "caroling" crow. You get a few of these girls together and you will have beautiful music. Joy is an 8" crow that is made out of painted and distressed muslin. Milo the cardinal Milo the cardinal is made from painted muslin that has been distressed and waxed. He stands a stout 8" from the tip of his top-knot to the bottom of his wired feet. Milo is a free-standing bird and measures 11" long. He has a needle-sculpted face with small black bead eyes. Milo has quilted wings and his scarf and clever little earmuffs are made from wool. His beady eyes are 2 ivory colored beads and his vampire bat fangs are made from Sculpey and his collar and tie are made out of felt. Elsbeth Potter Elsbeth Potter is 18 inches and is made from painted and distressed muslin and measures 18' tall. She has a stitched and painted face. Her candy corn eye is painted and stitched on with large uneven stitches. Her whiskers are dyed sisal fibers. Elsbeth has a large painted candy corn stitched to her belly. The corn and the rest of her body have been waxed which adds a nice aged look. Her hat is stiffened black felt with a distressed look and her collar is dyed flannel with rusty bells attached to each point. Larry the Spider Larry the spider is 8 inches tall and made from black felt and ivory wool felt. His head is painted muslin with a painted and stitched face. He has rusty wire legs that are holding onto the beginnings of a very promising "goodies" bag. Larry is mounted on top of a very "prim" pumpkin, made from wool felt and flannel fabric with black cross stitching along the seams. Miss Fanta Miss Fanta is headed to a costume party, but I don't think her mask will fool anyone. She is a lovely little witch and is 14"tall. Her arms and legs are attached with buttons, and she sports a very nice black net collar. Miss Fanta is made from painted, distressed, and waxed muslin. Sofie & Rufus Pattern "Sofie",is a cute little crow that measures approximately 5" tall (including hat). She has rusty wire legs and seed beads for eyes and her beak is stitched. "Rufus" is a small sheep but very hearty. He measures 9" tall and 11" long. He is made from muslin that has been painted and waxed. The ears and tail are painted and waxed and stitched onto Rufus. Socrates He is a stout 8” tall perched on his glass candlestick, but likes to be perched on just about anything. Socrates the clever crow is a proud and educated soul. Of course this is one distinguished crow in his tweed vest and wire glasses. He loves to be perched upon your favorite books. "Hoot-Nanny" The "Hoot-Nanny" is 9" tall and made out of heavily dyed muslin with a waxy shading. Each one of the kids is 5" tall and made from the same material. Their beaks are vintage rusty hand-forged square nails, that have been hand stitched on. Their eyes are layers of stained osnaburg with black felt centers. Each owl is weighted to make them stand alone easy. They all have hand-stitched wings that have been also shaded with a wax. Nanny owl is wearing an apron that has the word "HOOOOOOO" embroidered on the front. The little pumpkins are painted muslin with hand stitching and rusty nails for stems. They are small and really cute! The moon in the background is made from painted flannel that has also been waxed and shaded. There is a loop on the back so it's easy to hang. Ghost Writer (or Rider?) Sedric is an 8" ghost made out of painted, waxed and distressed muslin. His face is needle sculpted and his eyes are small black seed beads. Sedric is wearing a heavily dyed cheesecloth cloak that is frayed on the ends. He is also wearing a backpack with waxed rolls of paper (I'm sure they are important documents). To guide his way through the dark nights he is carrying a pumpkin lantern. The lantern is sculpted out of clay, painted and antiqued and mounted on a twisted rusty wire staff. Sedric is firmly attached to the top of Reggie, a bat of distinction! Reggie is made from distressed wool felt. He has bead eyes and a stitched nose. His ears, which hear everything, are black felt. There are uneven stitches going down his back in black crochet thread. This gives him a more primitive appeal. Reggie's wings are painted and waxed muslin that are quilted and wired so they can bend. Elvira Stump and Winthrop Fat cats need love, or is that even witches need fat cats? Who knows? Elvira is 12" including her antique spool she sits on. ( This will vary in height depending on the spool you have available to use) She is made from waxed & distressed muslin with a stitched face & painted eyes. Beans the Ghost Beans is 12 inches tall and made from painted and stained muslin. He measures 12' tall and looks great hanging from a door or cupboard with his sleeves flowing downward. He has a needle-sculpted face with painted eyes. His unique facial expression comes from the shading around his nose and eyes and his stitched pouty mouth. Beans is wearing heavily dyes cheesecloth and a wool felt appliqué with the word "BOO" embroidered on the front. He has bony looking hands and arms that can be posed. BeWitchin' Pair The hand is made from onsaburg and is 10" before being attached to a pedestal. The witch's hat is 8" before being attached to a pedestal. These are a great pair of Make Dos for anytime, but especially Halloween. They are very simple to make and quite handy for holding your needles and pins while working on your sewing projects. The "Pumpkin Express" Pattern Little Wicket is 5" tall without her hat and 7' tall with it. She is made from warm and natural that has been heavily coffee dyed. Her face is needle sculpted and her eyes are seed beads. Pattern also includes three painted muslin pumpkins in various sizes. The largest is 4", then 3" and the smallest 2". The pumpkins have a wooden button sewn to each side for the wheels. They are tied together with a piece of twine that is also attached to Wicket. The over-all length of the The "Pumpkin Express" is approximately 24". This is a wonderful little set to add to your Fall décor.
