 Church Dolls ePattern
This pattern is designed after
some Church Dolls that I saw in Pine Mountain, Ga that were
handmade in the mid 1800's. This one is special... these dolls
were made by mothers for their children to occupy their time on
Sunday mornings during Church. Church was a huge social event
here in the South. Church with Singings, Baptisms, Dinners on
the ground and just socializing was usually a all day event. We
still have 'em here in Alabama and I'm very proud to always be
involved in this part of my Heritage.
